Our preform silos are made to vertically integrate your production operation from the injection machine to the bottling line. They are designed to optimize floor space and maximize storage volume per square foot.
Each module is composed by a completely enclosed stainless steel silo with a capacity of 8 full size Gaylords (capacity=240 ft3). The quantity required in each module is determined by the staging time and quantity of preform to be staged.
Inside the Silo, the preforms are subject to a continuous air flow used to stabilize the preform’s temperature as well as to accelerate the release of Acetaldehyde. This air flow can be filtered or HEPA filtered at room temperature, if chilled air is required an optional chiller may be installed.
The system guarantees first in first out operation with product traceability. If needed, a module can be placed in quarantine for later delivery to the blow molder or rejected to be sent to the preform grinder automatically.
A Storage Management Software will generate reports on production quantities, staging time, quarantine and reject quantities per time periods. Optionally the info may be sent to the Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
