Specifications Development

Upon completion of design and engineering, INTEC SOLUTIONS will prepare a comprehensive specification package for the construction and installation of all systems. The specifications outline the materials and methods to be used as well as the quality of the materials and approved suppliers. Engineering drawings will be provided with the specification package to illustrate graphically the installation of the systems outlined in the specifications.

INTEC SOLUTIONS and the owner will identify contracting firms in the area to develop a list of qualified bidders. A minimum of two contractors will be selected to solicit bids.

INTEC SOLUTIONS will conduct on-site reviews with each bidder. During the review, the contractor will be interviewed to confirm qualifications. The project will then be reviewed with the contractor in detail, covering each segment of the project.

The contractors will be given two weeks to prepare and submit their bid. Once the bids have been returned, INTEC SOLUTIONS will review and compare each bid in detail to assess their compliance with the specifications. INTEC SOLUTIONS will outline the pros and cons of each and provide a written analysis for the owner’s review.

INTEC SOLUTIONS will make a recommendation based upon the review of each bid. The recommendation will be submitted along with all of the bids so that the owner can make the final selection. Once the selection is made, INTEC SOLUTIONS will work with the owner to assure that the necessary documentation and standards are included with the purchase order.

INTEC SOLUTIONS will develop a project schedule and provide on-site management as required during the construction and equipment start-up phase of the project. INTEC SOLUTIONS will coordinate all phases of work with the contractor and schedule any shutdowns that may affect the operation of the facility. Regular project meetings will be held to review job progress.

INTEC SOLUTIONS will coordinate the delivery, start-up and training of all owner-supplied equipment. This includes maintaining contact with the equipment vendors to assure that equipment is constructed, tested and shipped on schedule. INTEC SOLUTIONS will also coordinate the on-site start-up of the equipment by the manufacturer’s personnel and schedule the training of the owner’s personnel.

Upon completion of the project, INTEC SOLUTIONS will conduct a final walk through with the contractor and the owner to assure all work has been completed to the owner’s satisfaction.

When satisfactory completed, all final supplier payments and contractor retainage will be approved and released to the owner for payment.
